Clan Volsung hails from the Eastern Norselands, in the Opplands of Norway. It is a very ancient clan with roots stretching back to the Volsung legends. In recent years, clan Volsung's status has declined due to the civil war in Norway and its ties to a pretender to the throne. Ten years ago, the clan also suffered the loss of the chieftain's only child, his daughter, who died at sea on her way to be wed.
Little else is known of Clan Volsung on the isle of Luachmhar, as they are a fairly distant viking group which never settled the island. Those familiar with Norse culture may know that the clan is widely rumored to be cursed by witches.
The clan insignia is a stag.
