Draconic Conflict

The downlands and the beautiful forests surrounding Oldwyvern housed the largest part of the elven world plentiful wilds and beautiful lush lands.  But Dragons took to the skies in numbers never before seen.  They burned villages to the ground, the earth of Landbreak erupted in a sea of flame as the creatures made their way across the continent terrorizing everything in their wake. No one is quite sure what brought this about but the dragons seemed clear in their intent and rage. They were going to bring an end to everything. An entire nation was burned away in a matter of days, with not a blade of grass left to regrow.  Humanity took to the event with equal passion kingdoms rose armies to fend against the dragons in the skies, adventurers and everyone in the world took to the conflict.  Eventually the Broken Knights along with numerous heroes of the age took the dragons by storm and ended the conflict.  Dragons now exist only in scarce numbers and remote regions driven from the populace of the world to be unable to strike at humanity in the same way again.
