A poppet can be one of two beings, either they are a spirit inhabiting a physical object or form, or they are physical creations made by Glints Academy. The academy has strived to make golems and life out of runes; artificial life created from objects of wood or metal or stone these poppets are a very recent advancement toward the creation of life and of golems or undead of greater intelligence, some poppets are the soul of an individual placed upon an object held within runic enchantment. A poppet must be created within the past 30 years and many are seen as less than human this has led to great strife for them outside of the academy and they must take to the world fast if they are to survive its difficulties.
