Before the Humans first emerged into the world the mountain folk was already working hard in their stone homes. Their origins are uncertain, they themselves claim they were born of stone that wished to be shaped, others postulate them as having originated from lesser mountain Fae, changed by time and magic to more closely resonate with their home of choice.
Regardless, they have spread far beyond whatever original lost home they had, spreading across many mountains and hills. In the darkness of the tunnels beneath their homes they contest the ever-present Goblin vermin. In the lands above they are often at odds with Dragons and their servants.
Dwarves are known for their Rune Magic and craftsmanship as a whole.
