Innistrad's B Team

Time Period:
In the past from our current campaign (undetermined amount of time but far enough to not interfere (before Markov's Chosen Sessions)

Campaign Info:
-LVL 1
-Meeting up in the High City of Thraben in the Gavony Province
-Innistrad is a dark fantasy world where Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, Ghosts and Creatures that bump in the night are a familiar part of this world. Some less terrifying than others (aka ghosts).

What brings the characters together into a cohesive group? some possible character thoughts:

-Childhood Friendship with Ben (Gavony side closer to Kessig)

-B Team fighting for the Order of Avacyn
-"misunderstood" characters turning a new leaf and working on the side of good. Order of Avacyn
-The Order of Avacyn has called for interested members from around the planes to aid them

-Searching for missing friendship/Family

class thoughts:
-Alyx: something with casting. Warlock
-Ben: Human Ancestry. Ranger, maybe paladin.
-Stuart: Caster. divine soul? or a paladin.
-Nick: Dwarf maybe? melee. Fighter or Barbarian

We are okay with a not GIANT world storytime and our okay with mini random fun sessions with smaller storyline arcs but would like the DM to sometimes push the group to move sometimes? (correct?)

Some Interesting world Points:

Innistrad is a dark fantasy world where Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, Ghosts and Creatures that bump in the night are a familiar part of this world. Some less terrifying than others (aka ghosts).
Avacyn flies around hunting down demons and trapping them in the Helvault and is openly worshipped almost everywhere.
Griselbrand is free and tends to cause trouble here and there on the world. His cult is active and can be troublesome.
Cult of Great Old One exists but causes much less chaos than the Cult of Griselbrand
Unknown happens yearly in order to feed the Vampire Houses without destroying the Innistrad population.
Sorin has not been seen in many years and is considered a traitor among the Vampire Houses.

Locations:
Stensia

Misty, foggy and dark lands. Issues here involve vampires threat and living at the whims of the Vampire Houses. Offering up sacrifices for the yearly Unknown.

Werewolves attacks are rare but can occur as the werewolves are the natural enemy to vampires.

Cults of Griselbrand and demons that emerge from Ashmouth are also issues.

Gavony

Gavony is the province of Innistrad where the humans remained strong and safe, sheltered behind the high walls of Thraben, the largest city of the plane. The non-creatures of Innistrad would consider the High City of Thraben to be the capital of Innistrad.

Issues here include necromantic problems, and cults.

Kessig

Kessig consists of rolling farmlands surrounded by dense, dark woods. The small human communities in agricultural villages, trappers, and hunters groups live at risk in these woods, trying to make a living. Between the isolation and constant danger, most townsfolk here are wary of outsiders.

Fey-like creatures live throughout the forest, including pixies,

Werewolves fighting for control and space also are a big issue here.

Nephalia

Nephalia is the coastal province of Innistrad. Dwellers interested in trade are attracted by a number of small-to-medium port towns, most situated at the mouth of a river that leads further inland.

Nephalia’s sloughs, sea mists, and mysteries cloak its commerce and crimes; it is populated mainly by humans, geists and vampires, all of whom seek business, secrets, or solitude. The province’s silver sand beaches, punctuated with rocky promontories and sea caves, afford easiest access to its fog-shrouded ocean.

A vampire house who worship the Seas lives here.

Cults ran rampant here.

Feel free to check out the locations under each of those to see if there is somewhere interesting you'd like to be from.

Character thoughts

Ben

ok, refined:

-hexblood ranger who was raised in Uldenwald/Kessig, would traverse the forest and the outskirt towns (was especially fond of Gavony and got into some minor shannigans) in service to forest inhabitants

-sometimes helped travelers get to safety in roundabout ways--discreetly, disguised, etc.

-fond of the Dryads of the Bower Passage

-after helping in these minor ways, and finding Uldenwald in a relative period of stability (if possible, or some other justification), he will leave the forest's safety in order to protect its interests abroad

and i'll stick with the 20-ish range for age in terms of maturity but since hexbloods i guess are long-lived he's probably in fact much older
