Society of the Silver Chain

The Society of the Silver Chain is an order of adventurers dedicated to a common goal:  furthering the betterment of humans, their allies and anyone who finds themselves in trouble, particularly those who are oppressed or in some form of slavery.  Formed by a group of former slaves who fought for and won their freedom, they came together to continue to do good and formed the Society of the Silver Chain, the name coming from the symbolism of the chains they were once enslaved by.  To this day, every member of the organization is awarded a silver chain which they keep as a relic of their duty to the order.  Exceptional deeds of heroism result in the granting of small charms that can be added to the chain.  The more charms a member has, the more they have accomplished.

Over time, the society has attracted all types and expanded to different lands, across the seas and attracted all walks of life, essentially individual who wished to do good (or, in the alternative, wishes a life of adventure or looks to make some kind of profit).

The current chapter to which you belong has found themselves in the east, in the center of the desert emirates.  While some of you have a homeland, far back in the west, some of you are locals to the lands of these emirates.

Recently, a call has gone out from Sultan Hosni el-Sayeed, the sultan of Qual-ki, City of Virtue.  He has sent out a plea of desperation, stating that he and the city have been cursed by a wicked sorcerer and the whole city needs help.  So you gathered your things, left the confines of Waitta, and set out for Qual-ki to heed the call.  However, according to stories, this is the third such plea that has gone out in the past year.

In addition to the good that you could do, there is treasure and adventure to no doubt be found, and such a monumental undertaking would surely get many of you the advancement charm from the Society that you all so desperately desire.
