Sir Godfrey was able to give The Party information regarding their founder Lord Argynvost and how they were all eventually slain by Strahd. He and his fellow members are in eternal purgatory in this land until their leader Sir Vladimir Horngaard commands them to the death of their foe. Sir Godrey and Sir Vladimir were former lovers but the decay of Vladimir's mind does not allow him to even remember it.
