The party slowly went up into the attic of Saint Andral's Orphanage to try and find Felix. They found the boy sitting by a window, brandishing a stolen kitchen knife. After speaking to him, they quickly learned he was not trying very hard to hide the fact that he killed another orphan by pushing him out the window. Once threatened by the group, a smoke monster emerged from Felix's body and attempted to fight back. Wagner rained down a holy hellfire under the name of Lord Argynvost to such a degree that this smoke monster didn't even get an attack in. After a quick defeat, the locket containing the monster exploded into silver slag and Felix woke from being held hostage in his own body.
They took the young and confused boy downstairs and saw that Milivoj had come to consciousness. Speaking to the young gravedigger they learned he was manipulated with money for the orphanage, into finding the location of the bones. He was then tasked with stealing keys to the church in order for a cloaked and bearded man to exhume the Bones of Saint Andral, thus removing the hallowed ground protecting the church and town. The party returned to Saint Andral's Church to speak with Father Petrovich about the clues they have gathered and to also explain Milivoj's innocence. Father helped list a few people in town he remembered to have beards and accents, and the party smartly chose to investigate the coffin maker first.
When they arrived at the Coffin Makers Shop they were immediately denied entry by the owner Henrik van der Voort. Deciding to break in and confront the man, Henrik quickly folded and let the party know he was threatened by a woman named Ludmilla. He was threatened into stealing the bones, and then further pressured by the sudden shipment of "night creatures" to his coffin shop. Luckily, the group explored in the day while these creatures were asleep. Henrik screamed and begged while being dragged upstairs and told the party they were too late, as 4 of the creatures had already left for the Town Square in the days prior.
The group, one by one, began opening the crates that the shop owner said the creatures were in. Most crates were filled with nothing but packed earth, but two contained a pair of sleeping Vampire Spawn. CarĂ½ll woke the spawn by taking a point-blank shot at one of them, this only enraged and woke the creatures up. During the battle, the two vampire spawns expressed to each other that death was preferable to escape. Lighting the coffin shop on fire, the group was finally able to kill the vampires and recapture an escaping and displeased Henrik. Before the fire consumed the whole structure, they were able to grab the bones and a bag of coins before leaving. Villagers in the streets began to take notice of the flames, so the group began their walk back to the church with the bones and Henrik in tow.
