The devil's pepper is a species of chili which was developed by Oceanykan farmers. Its grows on medium-sized evergreen trees, which fare best on temperate and semi-arid climates. It is used as a condiment due to its sweet-ish, but spicy flavour. The latter characteristic becomes much more pronounced when the fruit is dried and powdered. Devil's pepper is a common cash crop, grown both for local consumption and for the export market.
