Australians

Many European nations had colonial missions in Australia and New Zealand, but the British had far more than the others, making them the dominant ethnic group within the "Australians", a catch-all term for the descendants of colonists and immigrants. Although a majority of Australians are of European origin, a very significant portion came from the rest of the world, as no peoples in Earth are averse to adventure. They tend to be analytical, opportunistic and creative. 

Although there had been small-scale immigrations from the Malay archipelago and other parts of Asia, it was the British Empire which first brought mass immigration to Oceanyka. The promise of wealth and freedom in a far away land attracted many settlers from the Isles, and the crown was interested in a large penal colony. Although their efforts were ultimately fruitless, a large diaspora of people from Great Britain now lives in Oceanyka accounting for a good part of the Australians' 25% population share.
