The anomalous event's immediate consequence was the deep transformation of all biomass in south-western Australia, including the Homo Erectus inhabitants. Those at the borders of the impact point suffered the same mutations, but the percentage diminishes with distance. It doesn't matter much because the mutated Erectus, dubbed "Primordial Men" by scientists, rapidly spread throughout the continent and even managed to get to New Zealand. By an unknown reason they rapidly died off in the Indonesian islands, a probable cause is volcanic activity. Regardless, their numbers quickly dropped as they adapted to their new homes. Due to the influence of warpstone, they rapidly evolved and even merged their genetics with creatures they coexisted with. It is very likely the Ferozen, along with other humanoids in Oceanyka with the exception of Homo Sapiens, are heavily mutated descendants of the Primordial Men. Pictured above is an artistic depiction based in fossil and amber samples, next to a regular Homo Erectus for comparison.
