The Large Calibre Assault Weapon is a 12.7mm automatic rifle designed as a first engagement weapon. Field operatives with assault rifles are to discharge a whole magazine of the LCAW, ditch it and fight with their AKM rifles. Performance against an Omega-class cryptid was satisfactory, it received 60 12.7mm shots (10 of which hit) from five riflemen. This allowed field operatives to fight against a debilitated and startled subject.
