Steel

Steel, a strong and versatile alloy of iron and carbon, is the cornerstone of modern civilization. Its remarkable durability and malleability make it essential in constructing buildings, bridges, vehicles, and countless everyday items. By adjusting the carbon content and employing various alloying elements, steel can be tailored to exhibit specific properties, such as corrosion resistance or high tensile strength. Steel can be cast into plates, beams, bars, tubes or a variety of other shapes and then riveted or welded into shape. However, it can also be cast directly into a mold and left to cool, a process which allows for creating complex structures.
