The Liberty-class is an American cargo ship produced during the entirety of World War II and used to great effect to resupply the Allied Nations and American forces across the world. It was designed and commissioned as a low-cost, mass-produced cargo ship, easily replaced even if it fell prey to Eurasian Axis submarine warfare. This allowed the US to move personnel and materiel throughout the entire world in vast quantities. With almost 3,000 liberty ships produced in America alone, it is no surprise that hundreds made their way to Oceanyka, where it was copied and thousands of new ones were built. It is currently the most common type of cargo ship in the continent (excluding small boats).

The United States did not start directly involved in World War II but rather joined as a result of the Japanese surprise attack at Pearl Harbour. At Midway, Guadalcanal, Guam, Iwo Jima, Kaiser Willhelmsland, Okinawa, Manila, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Kyushu they paid for their grave mistake. Most American ships from the period saw combat at any one of these places... a few, in most of them.

The Liberty-class is as simple as an oil-fired ship gets. Any bastard with half a brain and a wrench can put it back together even after suffering from heavy fire.
