Oceanykan Intervention in the Great War

Oceanykan History - Independence
1915 to 1919

During World War I, the Oceanykan Council sent troops to fight the Central Powers, alongside Mardasia, united as one army-sized unit called ANZAC; Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Oceanykan troopers were the backbone of the failed Gallipoli campaign, though they found a number of victories across the Middle East. Because of its partial victory against the Ottoman Empire, the ANZACs are celebrated across Oceanyka as having defeated a great power at a time when the country was just getting itself together.
