Skinwalker

Skinwalkers are some of the most dangerous types of cryptids, because they can go by undetected for decades. They possess two physical presentations; as a human and their true form. In their human appearance, the skinwalker is but a common member of human society, toiling away daily, raising a family, and aspiring for some sort of goal in life. However, when under extreme stress, the creature will reveal its true horrendous form as an enormous, man-eating being of extreme endurance, strength and agility. The most disturbing fact about skinwalkers is that they seem to possess two wholly separate personalities within one body; the human form is entirely unaware that they are a cryptid and possesses a human consciousness, while their true form controls the former through mental subversion and suggestion, only taking direct command when its façade is revealed. When hidden amongst the population, skinwalkers will apparently suffer from a variety of well-concealed mental afflictions, which inevitably results in acts of cannibalism.
