The Colt M1911 is an American pistol chambered in .45 ACP. It is reliable, powerful, ubiquitous and simple, perhaps John Browning's greatest invention amongst many. It has served with American troops in the trenches of France, in the fields of Poland, in the mountains of Korea, and in the jungles of Vietnam.
