The World in 1960

The world of the mid-1960s is a perilious one. West and East clash in the world stage, dragging billions into their Great Game. Even then, there are divisions between them; the American agenda of capitalist, democratic emancipation causes enormous friction with German imperial ambitions, while Soviet ultrainternationalism undermines the growing sense of national unity which has allowed China to arise like a phoenix.
