Invented in 1963 by Holden during the early days of the global oil crisis, the Nuclear-powered Exploration Light Tank, or NELT, is a marvel of engineering. It is deceptively obsolete from its outer looks, though the light armament and armour as well as bulky size would point towards that conclusion. What really makes the NELT special is that it uses a Holden Suntrap nuclear engine to power itself, using Nuclear Fuel. The use of atomic power allows the NELT to travel indefinitely, as long as the crew is trained in basic maintenance and repair. As such, the Holden NELT is particularly well-suited for small parties venturing deep into the Oceanykan wilderness, where refuelling is impossible, this being its niche market.
