The FV301, marketed as the Vickers Medium Cruiser Mk. I, is a British post-war medium tank. As a tank designed for export, it is mechanically simple and uses easy-to-replace components, such as the QF 17-pounder. The FV301 is the first and most emblematic vehicle in the Vickers FV 300 program, which seeks to form a number of light vehicles from a single chassis. Before the Oceanykan Revolution, the Federal Army was the most ardent proponent of the FV 300 program and one of its many buyers amongst struggling third-world nations.
