8cm Granatwerfer 34

This is the one and only infamous German mortar weapon of WW2. Its manufacturing quality made it capable of sustained, rapid and accurate fire where similar Soviet weapons could not. The 8cm Granatwerfer allowed German infantry formations to have their own organic fire support, reducing reliance on radio-called artillery fires, which were usually a luxury. It is still the standard medium mortar weapon of the German Armed Forces, and of its allied states.
