The Republic of Korea, better known everywhere else as South Korea, is a nation located in East Asia. It is led by President Park Chung-hee, who seized power in 1961 with a military coup. Under his tenure, the country has begun flourishing economically, receiving significant investment from the German Empire in the manufacturing of cheap electronic devices (many of which are, for the time being, copies of Japanese designs). They have also received monetary aid from the United States in exchange for their participation in the Vietnam War, which Park has agreed to gleefully. Despite human rights abuses and the suppression of dissent, economists estimate that South Korea's prospects are positive into the 1970s, should their northern neighbours not invade once more...
