Esoteric WMDs

Military Context

Esoteric WMDs are weapons of mass destruction which use anomalous means for their effects. They are divided in three types; psychion-based, warpstone-based and vril-based.

Psychion-based WMDs are those created by powerful psychics through summoning or programmed spells. Due to the nature of psyonics, these are largely conventional WMDs which use anomalous means for their triggering. The most common form of psychion-based WMD is a can of hydrogen upon which a potent explosive spell is written, creating a small fusion bomb.

Warpstone-based WMDs are those which use U-259 in a fission reaction, much like conventional U-235 atom bombs. These weapons have extremely disruptive effects upon the genetics and rules of physics of the affected area.

Vril-based WMDs are those which use the elusive artificial substance of the same name. The discovery of Vril by the SS brought some positive advancements for mankind, such as esoteric industrial machinery and medicine; after all, though much less powerful, it is easier to use and control than a live psychic. However, it has also brought man-made horrors beyond our comprehension into life. The most common of these is the fearsome Geistergas, an esoteric mutagen-based chemical weapon capable of rendering large areas uninhabitable for months. Even a small concentration is capable of, after some minutes, forcing limbs and organs to protrude from its victim's body.
