The Imperial State of Iran is a country in West Asia ruled by Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, restorer of the Pahlavi dynasty's throne. His family was originally ousted in 1932, when the Soviet Union invaded, setting up a socialist puppet regime which fought alongside the Comintern in WW2. Following this conflict, the German Empire countered Soviet efforts to spring up insurrections in the western sphere by sending arms and money to a number of Pahlavi restorationist groups. They successfully defeated the depleted Iranian Army by 1956; Mohammed Reza was called upon from his exile in Canada to lead a new Iranian Empire. Today, it is one of Germany's most staunch allies in the Middle-East, though much of its territory was lost to the Soviet Union, Pakistan and the nascent Kuwaiti kingdom.
