The Nydar Model 47 is, in essence, nothing more than a scaled down reflex sight such as those used in fighter aircraft. While somewhat fragile, it allows shooters to acquire and engage close range targets much faster than regular iron sights. Since World War II, these have been somewhat popular for sporting, hunting and in the special forces community.
