Bomb Lance Gun

Whaling has been an intensive economic activity since the 19th century. However, traditional whaling relies on harpooning the animals from a small boat, which is extremely dangerous, as demonstrated by the popular fiction novel Moby Dick. The bomb lance gun is a development of the late industrial revolution which shoots a penetrating bolt filled with TNT towards its target. Despite the recoil, these weapons are still popular against large animals, specially within Oceanyka where said fauna thrives. Against human-sized targets, these weapons are perhaps overkill.
