The Kg m/40 is a Swedish light machinegun based on the BAR, taking the same magazines, though it is chambered for the lightweight 6.5mm Swedish cartridge. During World War II, thousands were sold to the Deutsches Heer chambered for 8mm Mauser, entering service as the MG 35/36. It is particularly well suited for fighting in the cold.
