1961 Federal Audit

Oceanykan History - Contemporary
November 1961

November 8th, 1961. For the last week, the greatest minds at the Oceanykan People's Party had planned this monster of an operation, unlike anything which had ever been tried before, perhaps even by the colonial administration. Alan Redfort stepped upon the Oceanykan Council's podium and announced the beginning of the 1961 Federal Audit, through which carefully screened members of the brand-new and still constitutionally illegal Department of State would look through every record, every file, every folder, every binder, every tape, every recording; under every rock and every tree. Their objective? To assess the capabilities, potential and dysfunctionality of the Oceanykan Government. By the 27th, an impressive 30kg of documents lay on Redfort's desk. They outlined every inefficiency, every redundancy, every case of corruption, every abuse, every case of nepotism. Everyone who had to go, and everything which was missing. Perhaps there really will never be anything like the 1961 Federal Audit. With the opposition suppressed and Oceanyka's problems outlined, the OPP proceeded with their Constitutional Reform Act of 1962.
