The ShKAS is a 7.62x54mmR aircraft machinegun used by Soviet fighters during World War II. Its most outstanding feature is a fire rate of 1800 RPM, though it is fairly unreliable and prone to jamming. ShKAS mechanisms contain a unique revolving drum which helps with smooth feeding.
