One of Oceanyka's darkest industries is that of the hydrocarbon farms, large pools of crude oil where the Hydrocarbon Disease is used to transform the bodies of prisoners into crude oil. This is achieved by infecting the subject, dead or alive, and throwing them in a vat of crude oil where their body will eventually dissolve. The Federal Enforcement Division has found and destroyed numerous such locations over the years.
