The Oceanykan Industrial Consortium is a nationwide forum where manufacturers discuss problems related to their trades. It allows otherwise indifferent or straight out hostile companies from the same economic sector to communicate with each other, generating a modicum of market stability. Numerous standards and procedures have been generated by the OIC to facilitate intracontinental and intercontinental trade, in close coordination with the Department of Commerce. Amongst these the OIC Quality Grading stands out as a common standard for the quality of products built in Oceanyka and abroad, which can vary immensely and may generate uncertainty in potential buyers.
