The Colt Python is a double-action revolver that can fire six rounds of .357 Magnum or .38 Special. It is made by the American company Colt’s Manufacturing Company and was first introduced in 1955 as its top-of-the-line model. This handgun has a large I-frame with a full-length vent rib and a full barrel underlug, full-length claw extractor, a three-position safety, and an adjustable rear sight. It comes in different barrel lengths, from 2.5 inches to 8 inches, and has a blued or nickel-plated finish. The Python is known for its accuracy, smooth trigger pull, and tight cylinder lock-up. It is also a popular gun in movies and TV shows involving law enforcement.
