Cash crops are those which are grown exclusively for commerce, differentiating themselves from staple crops which are meant for year-round, heavy consumption. Grain, vegetables and fruits which have industrial uses may constitute cash crops, but are not included in this list; indeed, many of these (such as cotton or hemp) are inedible but incredibly useful in a factory floor. Others possess psychedelic properties (such as marijuana) or are otherwise consumable for one reason or another (such as coffee, cocoa and tea).
