The PPS-43 is a Soviet submachinegun that fires 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridges from a 35-round box magazine. It has a simple and low-cost design, made mostly of sheet-steel stampings, operating by blowback and firing from an open bolt. The PPS-43 is a reliable and effective weapon for close-range combat, proving to be the epitome of "good enough" Soviet engineering.
