The Gustloff Volksturmgewehr is a German assault rifle chambered in 7.92x33mm Kurz. It is one of the last products of the Primitiv-Waffen-Programm, which sought to design weapons for arming masses of barely trained soldiers. These weapons were mostly used to replace older submachineguns and rifles in rear-line and colonial service, as though inaccurate and impractical for long range fire, they possessed the versatility of an assault rifle. A few hundred thousand of these rifles were produced from 1944 to 1946, ceasing almost as soon as the war ended. They were shortly replaced by the original StG-series weapons in German service. Though considered a "budget assault rifle" in Oceanyka, its capability to rain down controlled automatic fire is appreciated, nonetheless.
