The Remington Model 870 is an American pump action shotgun designed and marketed by the Remington Arms Company for law enforcement and the civilian market, but militias and the military alike have found it extremely useful. It is sold in practically every shotgun calibre ever created, though in Oceanyka the 12-gauge version is the most popular. While the Ithaca M37 remains the king of shotguns down under, the M870 trails close, and may soon overtake it.
