Introduced in 1895, it became the British Army's standard infantry weapon, renowned for its robustness and reliability. The MLE saw action across various conflicts, including the Second Boer WarOceanykan War of Independence and World War I, becoming a symbol of the might of the British Empire during the early 20th century. Oceanyka has a great number of original MLEs amongst its private armouries, typically accumulating dust.
