The Heinkel HeS 011 is a German jet engine developed by Heinkel-Hirth which appeared in late World War II and was used into the early Cold War. It features a unique compressor arrangement with a low-compression impeller, a diagonal stage, and a three-stage axial compressor, allowing it to achieve a maximum thrust of approximately 12.7 kN, superior to the preceding Junkers Jumo 004. It was used in later variants of the Me 262 jet fighter, as well as some other late war and early Cold War aircraft employed by the Luftwaffe.
