The 75mm Gun M2 is an American tank gun designed to give medium tanks of the World War II period considerable firepower on-par with that of their typical Comintern opponents. Two notable derivatives are the longer and more powerful M3 Gun used in the M4 Sherman and the lighter M6 used on the M24 Chaffee.
