Carl Gustaf Pansarvärnsgevär m/42

Anti-Tank Launcher

The Carl Gustav Pansarvärnsgevär m/42 is a Swedish 20mm recoilless rifle that fires solid steel projectiles very, very fast. Obsolete at its introduction in 1942 by advances in armour technology, it nevertheless endured in Sweden's arsenals and even in Scandinavia's until well into the Cold War. Despite its intended purpose, the Carl Gustaf m/42 acts and looks more like a contemporary anti-materiel rifle, and it has been successfully used in this role by latter users, particularly Oceanykan users.
