The rug of smothering is a sinister and deadly construct, resembling a normal rug or carpet at first glance. However, when living creatures step on it, the rug wraps itself around them, smothering and suffocating them. The rug is intelligent and malevolent, able to sense the presence of living creatures and move silently to ensnare them. Its fibers are incredibly strong and difficult to break, and it is immune to most forms of attack. Only the most skilled and powerful adventurers stand a chance against the rug of smothering.
