Temple to Selûne
Selûne is thought to be among the most ancient of Faerûn's deities. Most humans in Faerûn consider the moon in the sky to literally be the goddess gazing down on the world, and the trailing motes of light behind it her tears. She is also a goddess of stars and navigation as well as motherhood and reproductive cycles. She is seen as a calm power, frequently venerated by female humans as well as by a mix of other folk: navigators and sailors, those who work honestly at night, those seeking protection in the dark, the lost, and the questing.
A silver-gilded temple of fine white and blue stone, the House of the Moon was the oldest temple in Waterdeep before the Spellplague wrecked it almost in its entirety. In the years since, it has been rebuilt over the original foundations. The Moonmaiden's temple has the tallest tower of any temple in the city, rising some seventy-five feet above street level. At its top, priests of Selûne bask in the light of the moon in all seasons.
Montly Celebrations

Full Moon Revel. Open-air dances and prayers under the moonlight with sacrifices of milk poured out upon the altar.
Special Celebrations
Conjuring of the Second Moon. A rite that summons celestial servants of Selûne, who arrive to do good deeds or fight the enemies of the temple. These servants, called Shards, always take one female worshipper, laity or clergy, to become one of them when they depart.
