The Bearded Mermaid

A rowdy tavern often filled with raucous singing and cheers, heralded by an old gold-flecked sign carved with the relief of a flirtatious and luxuriously bearded mermaid.  A popular spot for locals and sailors who call the city home, particularly those of the dwarvish variety, this homey tavern’s doors are always open.

The drinking house began life as the home of Brunas Adderwind, a ship captain, who happily let his crew stay there between voyages. Slowly, the place gained its own identity, including a sign carved by the captains bosun as a gift. Brunas is long dead, but his skull and captain’s hat still sit above the bar, keeping an eye on the merriment within his old home.
