Elves reach physical adulthood around the age of 15, though they aren’t considered to be fully emotionally mature by other elves until closer to the passing of half of their first century. A typical elf can live to around 250 years old.
The nomad elves don't have surnames. They present themselves as either "Elf of Tribe" or "Elf son/daughter of father/mother".
In the second case, it's normally said as a title, with a small pause between name and "surname". When the child is born, the parents decide how they will present their child, whether they will call them "child of mother" or "child of father". The child can decide at any moment to change how they present themselves. This is presented as a title, with the following rules:
- "El", when a son takes the name of their mother.
- "En", when a son takes the name of their father.
- "Ail", when a daughter takes the name of their mother.
- "Aen", when a daughter takes the name of their father.
- If the parent's name starts with a vowel, use it as a prefix. Ex: En'adrie, Ail'elavie, Aen'umiten.
- If the parent's name starts with a consonant, use it as a suffix. Ex: Magien'el, Temani'ail.
