He executively manages the house staff, including all chefs, gameskeepers, and other personnel, and is chairman of the royal treasury.
He is a high-ranked noble in his own right with many holdings, and is an esteemed vintner and chess-master, the latter of which even won him a knighthood - though fighting knights do not see him as an equal. Derided by the military as an effete and unlikable meddler, he is nevertheless invaluable for his incisive intellect in many matters spanning winemaking and chess to enterprise and law.
