The western edge of Sunsteda Bay with a view of The Montaignes that persists all the way to Cathedral Ruins, where the road turns west down the path of the great strait. Between Rantaan and Kurzmarch Ford there are no settlements, only roads and wilderness.
The road overlooks a cliff along the Swabbie Sea, west of Sunsteda Bay. The waters here are calm, but not in a calming way, like inky bathwater concealing a horrid crime. It's no wonder the people don't settle here.
All sunsets are beautiful. But not all beauty inspires hope.
