The dominant native people of Profundum. Denizens of a hellish netherworld said to ride enormous serpents and traverse other realms far beyond theirs or our own. They are natural magic users, at home with improvisational magic much as a bard might rattle off an entirely new verse from a moment's inspiration. They are a product of their homeworld, and they reflect its cruelty and madness with clarity and verve.

That said, they are not famously poets or nature lovers. They are nomadic, often malefic sowers of discord. There are a few who have settled throughout our land, but they do not think like humans. Normal elves have few possessions they cannot carry, and fewer interpersonal bonds. Long-lived beyond human ken, they are seekers, obdurately independent walkers-between-worlds. Nobody knows what they seek, however. Perhaps they are not sure themselves.

Elves are rare, and groups of elves are even rarer. Due to their magical gifts and ability to cross between worlds, this is a blessing. In the past, entire kingdoms have come under the sway of elvish incursions of between 10 and 12 individuals. Their strike forces can hit anywhere, at any time, and with fairly unbeatable magical force. Further, they seem largely immune to pain.

Portal: Opens a gateway between worlds, usually with Profundum as an intermediary. Can also be used to travel to certain other whens and wheres, at least, when the right door can be found. Takes 3 turns, requires that the elf is unseen the entire time (being seen interrupts the port). Can only be performed during the Demon Moon

Truthsayer: Always at 1 Gobble die to tell direct lies. Unable to speak any untruths after being politely asked thrice. They do not appreciate being asked questions without some kind of recompense; information is power.

Annwn Native: Immune to any fire or heat damage. Elves always feel colder than ice to people of our world. Like living marble. Further, they seem not to lose feeling in their limbs after a severe beating, and no elf has ever been seen unconscious. It is not even known if they can sleep. "The Hare runs into the fire. The fire, it takes her, she is not burned. The fire, it loves her, she is not burned. The hare runs into the fire. The fire, it loves her, she is free..."

Intrinsic Magic: Elves cast any and all magic with their Charm+Sorcery or Command+Sorcery pool, whichever is higher. They understand magic intrinsically, and know every spell. However, only the most foolish of them trust in spells alone to do anything of importance. They know a deeper truth.

Solar Aversion: The elf is not welcome in Karnum, and they feel the judgment of Karna wherever they go. They are highly uncomfortable in daylight. All skill checks made in direct sunlight are halved
