Svinxes are a rare and intelligent race of magical beings. Little is known of them, but stories tell that they are wise beyond mortal ken, and dwell in the forests between The Montaignes and the Athos Highlands.
A svinx will use only The High Speech, and will become hostile to any who speak other tongues in their presence. They are not quite fae or demonic. However, they are not mundane beasts, and are said to be products of elves. They also have historically made alliances with the Pendragon family for mutual protection, and some still uphold these treaties.
Due to their associations with Elves and the line of Eld, svinxes are considered somewhat morally neutral, if very perilous. They commune with forest creatures, such as Lignumites or Squirrel Panther packs, and are often extremely well-informed about goings-on in their area. Some command beasts, or even trees.
Svinxes almost universally hate Beastman, but it is not known why.

Notes on Powers (preliminary): ~7d levitation/flight, able to control and communicate with many beasts of the forest, even vines or trees to an extent. Can enter the minds of its thralls and control them. Has incredibly strong hands, able to strangle a person in seconds or crush rocks.
