Known in common as the Free people of the plains. The Mahvy are made up of different feline races, from the muscular and imposing Leonin, to the slender and quick Tabaxi. The Mavhy live in the verdant plains of Tugadi. The Tugadi plains are surrounded by the vast Hakalo desert, beyond the desert to the south is the Inashy plains and the expansive Harozian Jungle. The Free people have a government ruled over by the Pride Council that are chosen by the Mahvy. The only position not chosen is that of the Inkosi or Malkia, King or Queen in common. The Inkosi/Malkia sit on the council, their vote is counted as two. There are Fifteen members on the council. One from each of the fourteen prides, the fifteenth pride is the one with the Inkosi and the Malkia, they are known among the Mahvy as the Kwan. They are said to have been the first of the feline race to come to Barator. The Kwan helped to destroy the yunti empire of the Harozian jungle and later vanquished the Ro’namiri or Ku’shinda as the called themselves, which roughly translated into the great conquers. Most outsider believe that the Mahvy are a primitive lot, because of their simple looking leather clothing, but they are in truth, very advanced in the arcane arts. They are masters of storing magic engery inside glyphs. There are rumors that the elite warriors of the Prides, have spears that releases element engery towards their enemies. Each of the fourteen prides are made up of smaller tribes. Every pride has a tribe of warriors, scholars, builder, merchants, and entertainers. The Arkithal, the Great den, is located by the shores of the Ice-fire Lake. The buildings are half above ground and half bellow, most of the buildings are made from sandstone and steel, while only the wealthiest have their homes made partly of wood.
The Mavhy don’t have many enemies, the few that they clash with are the Centaur clans, usually over territory and trade routes, while the Orge warbands often clash with the Mahvy as they raid lesser dens.
The Mavhy often trade with Acumen, the port cities of the North and the Cloud and storm giants of the Promethean peeks, to the North-East.
Located far to the West of the Hakalo desert are a group of mountain ranges called the Crown of Ice, within is the Valley of the still lakes. A lush land, filled with wildlife of all kinds and a copious mix of plant life. When someone travels the simple dirt road that has been build and maintained by the villagers, who live in the valley. They will see what looks like frozen waterfalls, that has water running over their frozen surface to eventually trickle into the dale bellow. Creating small fresh rivers that crisscross these tranquil lands. Located at almost the very center of the valley, is a stone monastery sitting atop a lush hill overlooking the villages and lakes bellow.
