A urban legend from the area of the Black Briar. Victims of the bandit have found themselves suddenly unconscious and when they wake up, find themselves with only their boots, a water skin, and enough food to last them until the nearest town.
Despite attempts by the local Sherriff, the bandit could not be apprehended before he stole 1000's of gold worth of equipment and supplies. It took a emissary of the crown and score of Knights to finally end the threat permanently.
The bandits base destroyed, but the horde was never recovered and is believed by many to still be hidden somewhere deep in the Black Briar woods some 20 years later.
